Illness that cannot be cured but can usually be controlled with medicines or other treatments. Examples include rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, inflammatory bowel disease, epilepsy, angina, heart failure, and high blood pressure (hypertension)
